50 Years Onwards

S.C.I.S dates back to 1968 when Rev. Vincent founded it and began in a rented building in Abossey Okai.

With S.C.I.S having recently celebrated its semi- centennial year, we are proud to have maintained the vision that remains true to Rev. Vincent McCauley.

Rev Vincent E. McCauley, Sr, B.th, a missionary of blessed memory, started S.C.I.S in 1968 in a humble rented building in Abossey Okai, Ghana. Rev. Vincent McCauley was from Guyana in South America, he was a visionary, missionary and educator. His vision was to educate, train and raise future Godly leaders by giving children holistic training that is to prepare them morally, spiritually and physically in pursuance of their goals within the 21st century and beyond. Children from kindergarten to sixth grade were enrolled when the school first started in 1968. By 1969 Rev. Vincent McCauley was joined by his wife Salwa Helen McCauley and together with the divine help from God imparted the great work of quality education for young children.  The school steadily grew and in 1974, Soul Clinic International School moved to the quiet suburb of East Cantonments where it is currently situated. The curriculum then was the common entrance/GCE ‘O’ level exam.

Director, as Rev. McCauley was fondly called by his students, desired to have a secondary school from Form 1 to 3. In 1988, his vision was fulfilled with the help of Paul and Bob Milhous. At this time S.C.I.S now had classes from kindergarten to Form 3 and was running the BECE curriculum. Our students continued to excel and further their education in various fields successfully.

Our dearest father, husband and pastor Rev. Vincent E. McCauley went to be with the Lord on Good Friday March 28th 1997. His selflessness, great sense of humor, joy and laughter, genuine interest in the wellbeing of people young and old and much more is missed. By following God’s guidance he had faithfully done what he was called to do and Soul Clinic continues the vision with our dearest Mrs. Salwa H. McCauley with the gifts and abilities of God.

In 2004, the IGCSE curriculum was introduced, which is what is currently run at S.C.I.S. Accredited by CIE, now CAIE Soul Clinic enrolls pupils from Kindergarten to 11th grade. Our students continue to thrive together with the executive director, administrative directors, Human resource director and our A team staff and heads of S.C.I.S and parents.

Rev. Vincent McCauley’s vision for S.C.I.S continues with the commitments to unite knowledge and Godliness and seeks students who combine academic ability and intellectual curiosity with critical thinking.
